Zinedine Zidane will not be the manager of Real Madrid next season. He is a legend of the club, but a streak of bad results and the complaints of many of his players were too much for him and with Florentino Perez, they decided to end his contract at the end of this campaign, with Massimiliano Allegri waiting to take that place.

But this departure of Zidane, while might look beneficial for the club, has terrible collateral effects that threat the competitive power of the club for the next seasons. What Real Madrid will be missing out is world class players and a bigger chance of continuing being an European powerhouse.

This has to be with the players who still love the current manager, who wil leave on a free: Sergio Ramos, Luka Modric and Karim Benzema, still top players despite their ages, will let their contracts run out because they are loyal to him and want to show him their support. And worse: Kylian Mbappe put as a condition to sign for Real Madrid that his idol Zizou has to be the coach, so he will not move of PSG.

So Allegri will have to deal with a squad that will rely on him to keep being competitive, but he will not have a lot going on for him. The pandemic makes it harder to make expensive signings, so despite Zidane might be the culprit of the problemss of the club, the solution might end much worse.
