Rayados de Monterrey, the team coached by Antonio 'Turco' Mohamed, defeated Robert Dante Siboldi's Cruz Azul 1-0 with one goal from Rogelio Funes Mori. The reached the fourth place in the Liga MX with one week left to end the regular season. In addition, in this game they were able to achieve what they were looking for all year.

For the first time in the whole league, the Monterrey team was able to finish a game without conceding a goal. In the previous 15 weeks, Rayados received 18 goals but today they were able to fulfill the objective that the fans were reproaching them for. Many goals in favor but many goals against, was what they said.

In this way, the Rayados de Monterrey team seems to be finding their pace just when the Liga MX 2020 regular season is coming to an end. After beating Cruz Azul 1-0 with a goal by Rogelio Funes Mori, they arose to the fourth place of the standings with the same amount points that La Maquina Cementera and Pumas UNAM.

In addition, let's not forget that Rayados is the current Mexican champion, so although they haven't had their best regular season, they are a team to be much respected, specially if they start to win games just in the key moment of the season, which is this.

With tonight's goal, Rogelio Funes Mori reached the mark of 89 goals in 178 games played, meaning that the Argentinian forward has a goal every two games in Liga MX. For the last week of Liga MX, on week 17, Rayados will visit Chivas de Guadalajara on Sunday, November 7, and will be looking to clinch their direct qualification to the final phase of the 2020 season.
