The privatization of sports entities is common in Europe. The idiosyncrasy of management occurs in the major leagues of the Old Continent and the examples overflow with the cases of Manchester City, PSG, Chelsea and many others who have managed to impose their hierarchy in recent times. Except in the Bundesliga, which in its regulations establishes that the clubs must belong to the members and in Barcelona, Real Madrid and Athletic Bilbao, which have internal jurisprudence, the rest of the teams in Spain and a large part of the region are part of business groups or millionaire sheiks.

In this context, billionaire Daniel Ek, co-founder of Spotify, expressed his interest in buying England's Arsenal with the support of former players Thierry Henry, Dennis Bergkamp and Patrick Vieira. According to the local press, the businessman who currently stands out as executive president of the famous music platform, expressed during the desire to acquire the Gunner group. “Since I was little I have been a fan of Arsenal. If they want to sell, I would like to give it a try”, said Daniel Ek on his social media.

Arsenal was among the clubs calling for the frustrated European Super League and that intention to participate in that controversial tournament generated protests among fans, who publicly called for the resignation of the current owner of the club, Stan Kroemke. However, the current authorities said last week that they have "no intention" to sell the club and promised to "treat better" the fans after what happened with the project promoted by the owner of Real Madrid, Florentino Pérez.

The fans were enraged in the preview of the match against Everton, corresponding to week 33 of the Premier League, and expressed their discontent with the authorities for the truncated international competition that sparked a war in Europe. Thousands of supporters of the London team, one of the 12 founders of the Super League, gathered in the vicinity of the Emirates stadium despite the ban ordered by the coronavirus pandemic.

With flares and chants dedicated to American Stan Kroenke, the protest lasted several minutes, while British police tried to dispel the demonstration. The anger of the Gunners fans also became notorious on Twitter with different hashtags referring to Kroenke's departure from the club.
