Liverpool is living it´s worst streak at Anfield in their history. So much so that, in 128 years they have never lost five games in a row. And this is just the tip of the iceberg of their deep crisis. "It is something general. We cannot say that it only happens to us at home. We have to improve in the decisive moments. We have to win games. The blow has been tremendous", said Klopp after the 0-1 against Chelsea.

A slip that left the current champion in the seventh place of the table, out of the European positions and four points from the Champions zone. The lead is Manchester City that takes them 22 points. Only Southampton (four), Newcastle (seven) and West Brom (nine) have won less. And they have lost five of their last six games. "We have not been good enough. There are too many heads down when we concede a goal," said a Robertson who, like Alexander-Arnold, has stopped flying.

Liverpool has fallen the crown after taking 30 years to sit on the English throne. In the history of the Premier, only three champions - Blackburn 1995-96, Chelsea 2015-16 and Leicester 2016-17 - had fewer points than the 'reds' after 27 league games [see chart]. And none of them finished above seventh place, missing out on Europe. The 43 now are the second worst mark of the Klopp era, with 41 points in 2015-16 . And it is that last year they added 36 more.

"We started well. We were in the lead for a long time, but a lot has happened to us in the middle. I've been a coach for 20 years, and never in my life have I had to change my defense every week. Defending is important for stability", confessed the German leader. And for his bad luck, the 'MSF' (Mane-Salah-Firmino) is dry: Mané chains five days without scoring, Firmino seven and the top scorer (17 goals) Salah was substituted in the 62nd minute against Chelsea. "We are not mentally and physically fresh," Klopp warned: "We changed a lot because of the injuries, which cut us off our rhythm", he concluded.
