Since his arrival to Manchester City, Pep Guardiola knew that fans were expecting him to win the Champions League. Despite completing good competitions and gaining other important trophies, the Catalan head coach could never achieve to win the greatest European competition with the English club.

For more effort that they put, the achievement wasn’t completed and, after his renewal of contract, fans asked him once again to win the tournament. In order to do so, Guardiola has been signing some top players during the past transfer windows and it is expected that he will continue doing so.

One of the big problems that Manchester had during the past campaigns were the defensive errors and that was the reason why the club spent a fortune on players such as Laporte, Stones, Aké, Mendy and more. Now the pointed one by Guardiola is a top defender with great experience: Leonardo Bonucci.

The Italian aged 33 appears in the radar of Guardiola, who thinks that his signing is necessary to achieve such an important objective as the UCL is. The defender played 420 games for Juve since his arrival, scoring 30 goals and receiving 81 yellow cards. During his professional career, he always played in Italy: Inter, AC Milan, Treviso, Pisa, Genoa, Bari and Juventus.
