English Premier League has always produced some of soccer’s biggest stars, despite many of the most famous players come from other leagues. We are talking about some of the most powerful clubs in the world, where wallets seem to be bottom-less, and bank accounts look lightyears long.

Therefore, it’s no surprise to see big clubs like Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea battling to sign the same player. Because in the English Premier League, the club who is not fighting in the top of the table, can still have a player (or more) who is still really attractive and is worth lots of millions for another board.

This is the case of West Ham United’s Declan Rice. He just turned 21 years old and one of the newest sensations in the league. Despite being born in a London suburb named Kingston upon Thames, he has represented the Irish national team. And the English too. He joined the club’s academy and signed his first contract when being 16.

He plays as a defensive midfielder or as a center-back, given his large height of 1.85 m or 6’1”. Despite having made his debut for Ireland in a friendly match in 2018, he later chose to play for England, and FIFA authorized him. The four clubs would be willing to pay almost $65 million to sign him in this transfer market.
