FC Barcelona isn’t going through its best moment. The club couldn’t achieve the best results during the past campaign and neither in the actual one, and is also going through a very hard financial situation. The chance of gaining the first title of the season appeared last Sunday, against Athletic Club on the Spanish Supercup final, but Barça lost 3-2 and let it escape.
Head coach Ronaldo Koeman has already talked with his assistants and with people from the club and told them that he needs to make some signings during the winter transfer window, as for the team to improve. The manager is willing to let some players out, but wants to have other ones in instead.
As Barcelona is choosing their new president, such a decision isn’t easy to made. In a reunion made with the unique three candidates, they all both refused the chance to sign players now, due to the bad financial situation of the club. There are some players pointed out, but none of them want to take the risk of approving a signing before starting their mandate.
The names that appear in the radar of the Catalan side are the ones of Eric García and Memphis Depay. Both could be arriving for free on June, but Koeman thinks that the date is too far away, and hat he needs someone arriving now. The big difference is that in six months they could arrive for free, and now they would have to pay for them.
