In their Champions League debut against Shakhtar Donetsk, Real Madrid conceded three goals in the first half and lost 2-3 at home. It was very a bad first step for the team coached by Zinedine Zidane. Immediately, the fans started to express their opinions on social media and pointed the Frenchman coach as the main responsible for the bad moment.

The former Real Madrid player is one of the most successful coaches in the club's history. He won the Champions League three times and the Spanish's La Liga twice. However, most of the Real Madrid fans claimed he made two mistakes as the head coach of the team.

First, he let the Colombian James Rodriguez go. The 29-year-old midfielder has never been considered by Zidane. He joined Everton on September 7, 2020. There, he is going through one of the best times of his career: he has scored three goals and has given four assists in only six games.

Secondly, he also let Gareth Bale go. The 31-year-old Welsh footballer suffered several injuries and was never able to establish himself as a starter. However, after his arrival at Tottenham Hotspur, he left behind incredible numbers as a Real Madrid player: he scored 105 goals and gave 68 assists in 251 games.
