South American footballers who are called up by their respective countries will most likely miss the matchday eight games of the Premier League upon their return due to the schedule of the games in the CONMEBOL World Cup qualifying series.

Some of the fixtures will be played in South America a day before the league games will resume which will make the players miss the matches as they will have a long flight back into England from their countries, with Uruguay, Brazil and Argentina stars the most affected.

Liverpool will likely be without Brazilian duo of goalkeeper Alisson Becker and midfielder Fabinho who will play in Brazil on Friday, and with Liverpool having to play at lunchtime on Saturday, the two players will be unavailable. Liverpool have requested that the match be shifted but their opponent Watford are blocking the move.

Chelsea manager confirmed that experienced defender Thiago Silva will join the Brazilian national team and will not be involved in their game against Brentford City on his return as he would.be returning late. The clubs have been forced to release the players after the drama of not releasing them in the last break.

Other clubs affected by the situation also includes Manchester United who will not have Fred back, Manchester City who will not have goalkeeper Ederson and striker Gabriel Jesus back. Clubs like Aston Villa and Tottenham will miss their South American stars like Emi Martinez, Emi Buendia and Gio Lo Celso.
