PSG: the curse that fell over its former managers and Thomas Tuchel will try to avoid

In October 2011, Nasser Al-Khelaifi became the president of Paris Saint-Germain, and made a revolution not only in the club, but in Ligue 1 and European soccer as well. He invested a lot of money and took to the club plenty of world class players like Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and David Beckham.

But as it was reported in AS, there has been a 'curse' over the managers that the club had since, affecting them when they left the club, because none of them won a league title. The last one, Thomas Tuchel, has just been appointed at Chelsea and will try to avoid this to make him fail in Premier League.

The first one was Antoine Kombouaré, who never took over a top club again, and got relegated with Toulouse. Then Carlo Ancelotti came. He was the more successful of the pick, winning UEFA Champions League with Real Madrid in 2014, but never won La Liga. Laurent Blanc never coached a team again until last month, taking a job in Qatar. And Unai Emery has not even been close with Arsenal and Villarreal.

Fortunately for Tuchel, he has great quality players that are adapting to the club, like Kai Havertz and Timo Werner. His club is financially powerful and he hopes to do something great. And if he makes his team perform as he wants, Chelsea will be a serious contender to win Premier League and end the curse.
