Paris Saint-Germain tries to solidify its future for the next year, and with that goal the club wants to build a squad with a quality enough to conquer Europe. So under Mauricio Pochettino, the team wants to sign Lionel Messi, Sergio Ramos, Hugo Lloris and other top players in that sense.
And for reaching that objective, the club has to keep the top players that are already there. So as Telefoot reported, the board wants to convince Neymar to sign a contract extension, and will offer him a huge millionaire contract to make sure he stays there and does not get distracted by other top teams.
The problem is that nothing like this is happening with Kylian Mbappe, and his contract will expire in June 2022. The time to negotiate is running out but it looks like the club is not too interested on keeping him. The world champion striker is intensely wanted by Zinedine Zidane, who wants to take him to Real Madrid and rejected the extension offers that Leonardo made to him.
So this lack of attention to Mbappe can be seen as a decision made by the club, saying that the forward has given up on staying and wants to try luck somewhere else, and Mauricio Pochettino might want a pure striker to complement Messi and Neymar in the front three, earning more than 100 millions in a fee.
