The Parisian side is going under a big crisis and debts this fortune.

Paris Saint-Germain is a club founded in 1970 that transformed when president Nasser Al-Khelaifi decided to buy it to transform it into one of the most important teams in the world. The businessman invested millions per year to sign top players and reach this level, being the objective to win the Champions League title.

But problems appeared for the Parisian side after the crisis generated by the COVID-19 pandemic. The club is facing a debt of $200 million, according to what L’Equipe published recently in France. As they generated fewer incomes during the quarantine period, they went int a financial issue that they will have now to solve.

Players with very high contracts as Neymar or Kylian Mbappé, and their most expensive manager in history, as Mauricio Pochettino, helped to generate this complicated economic moment. Nevertheless, Al-Khelaifi thinks that he could revert this situation soon and seems not to be worried about it.

The president wants not only to keep the stars that he has on the team, but to sign others. The international press has already reported the intentions of PSG to sign Lionel Messi and Sergio Ramos, who will be free from FC Barcelona and Real Madrid respectively. Even though they won’t be paying a transfer for them, they should afford their very expensive contracts.
