Cruz Azul was almost qualified to the final of the tournament Guard1anes when a complete scandal occurred. The team coached by Robert Siboldi needed to maintain the advantage achieved on their first game against Pumas, but they lost the second match 4-0 and couldn’t advance to the final.

The defeat generated a true scandal, as it was expected that Cruz Azul was going to qualify, due to the result of the first game. After such a disaster, fans claim as responsible and both Siboldi and port advisers think that it is time to axe some players from the team.

One of the most emblematic cases of those who will be leaving is Milton Caraglio. He arrived to the Liga MX side on July 2018 for $6 million from Atlas and, at the age of 32, he is very near to leave. The player wants to have more chances and with a contract until June 2021, it is very probable that he departs.

Other of the Cruz Azul players who may no longer continue with the team are Jesús Corona, Pablo Aguilar and Elías Hernández. Siboldi considered that they are not needed anymore and that if they leave the club won’t notice their albescence. As well, Cruz Azul will be investing to make some signings, after so many departures.
