Neymar's teammate who leaves PSG to play with Lionel Messi at FC Barcelona

Paris Saint-Germain has been working during the last years to conform a super team with top players and spending a fortune on signing. The most remarkable case was the one of Neymar, who moved from FC Barcelona in the most expensive transfer ever, made for $225 million.

But before Ney, PSG signed another star in which they deposited a lot of hope. He is the German midfielder Julian Draxler. In January 2017, the French side paid $40 million for him to VfL Wolsburg and since then he could never perform as expected and is now ready to leave.

PSG doesn’t use him anymore and the player thinks that he deserves a better opportunity in another club. At his actual, he played 148 games, scoring 22 goals and giving 32 assists and so far, this season he played eight matches and scored a pair of goals. The problem for him, is the lack of minutes on important games that he has been playing since he arrived.

Draxler is now in the radar of Barcelona, not only because of his good conditions, but also because he will be a free agent on June 2021 and Barça are interesting on signing players in that condition to not spend a fortune as they are in a deep crisis after the COVID-19 pandemic. The German himself is interested on moving from playing with Neymar to Lionel Messi and have more chances to show off.
