Soccer has changed a lot during the last years and the responsible for that were millionaire investments made by very powerful and rich persons all over the world. After globalization, the TV started to pay fortunes to show matches all over the world and that started a new revolution.
Nowadays it is common to see how clubs sell players for millions and how others hire them. One day it was rare to think in a transaction from a player to a club for more than $10 million but now is very common to think about it. After the 2000s everything has completely changed.
One of the most emblematic profs about this is the transfer from Neymar, the Brazilian who left FC Barcelona, an historical and traditional club in Europe, to join Paris Saint-Germain, a new club bought by a millionaire, for $225 million, in the biggest signing in soccer ever.
