Lautaro Martínez is one of the most wanted players in the world. The Argentinian attacker is only 23 years old and has proved at Inter all his great conditions. The Italian club signed him on July 2018 for $25 million and is now trying to work on his renewal, as both player and club consider that his contract must be higher.

The actual contract of Martínez ends on June 2023, but as he is one of the worst paid players of the Serie A squad, the renewal is being negotiated. The attacker wants to maintain the release clause of $110 million that allows him to leave Inter if another team pays it, but the club want to delete it.

FC Barcelona has always showed interest on Lautaro and that clause could be an option for them to sign him. But, during the last hours another club appeared as Manchester City was linked to Martínez’s future. The English side is also interested on signing him, reports international press.

The rumor has to do with Sergio Agüero ending his contract with City as well. At Manchester, they think that he will be a great replacement for the all-time top scorer. If that sign is made we will then have to wait to see what happens with Messi, who will be a free agent on June 2021 ad was also linked to Manchester City.
