Guillermo Barros Schelotto is clear about the country where he will seek his signings, Argentina. Concerning the Argentine Super League and the national team, several rumors have been born that link several players with the Los Angeles Galaxy. Among these names, we could find Sebastián Villa, Gonzalo Higuaín, Javier Pastore and the most recent wish of the Argentine coach, Ignacio Martín Fernández.
The player who was Guillermo Barros Schelotto's rival in the clashes between Club Atlético River Plate and Club Atlético Boca Juniors has no intention of renewing with the Argentine team. It is for this reason that Los Angeles Galaxy wants to recruit the player considering several factors.
Ignacio Martín Fernández has a contract until the end of this year with Club Atlético River Plate, and a clause of 10 million dollars. However, as we have previously mentioned, the Los Angeles Galaxy have few funds to buy players. For this reason, the MLS team would expect to obtain a half-year loan and sign him as a free player in December.
Los Angeles Galaxy will have to do everything possible to convince Ignacio Martín Fernández with this strategy because the player does not want Club Atlético River Plate to have losses in his exit. However, the player is clear that he does not want to continue in the Argentine team.
