Sadio Mane, Naby Keita and Mohamed Salah were all on target for Liverpool today as they thrashed Crystal Palace by 3-0 to maintain their unbeaten start to the 2021/22 Premier League season and ended the run of a flamboyant Crystal Palace who beat Tottenham 3-0 last week.

Liverpool have won four and drawn one (against Chelsea) in five games this season to sit top of the league table with 13 points from a possible 15. They battled to a 3-2 win over AC Milan in midweek in the Champions League and are yet to lose a game of football this season.

Sadio Mane opened the scoring in the first half, an historic goal, becoming the first player in the Premier League to score in nine consecutive matches against the same club, a run dating back to 2016 when he was playing for Southampton. Mane also reached 100 goals for Liverpool. Naby Keita scored a beautiful volley while Mohamed Salah continued his impressive run.

Crystal Palace, coached by former Arsenal player Patrick Vieira started the season slowly and are gradually picking up pace but this loss against Liverpool will dent their confidence having seen their good run come to an end against a better club.
