Inter Milan is undergoing some significant changes for 2021, both in and outside of the field. On one hand they are in negotiations to bring new players, to sell, and to renew contracts. An example of this is Argentina’s Lautaro Martínez, who is about to sign an extension with a big increment in his salary. On other aspects, the clubs’ image is under transformation.
In terms of branding (in-ter, yes), the club is planning to switch the official name from Internazionale FC to ‘Inter Milano’, reinforcing the identity ‘I’ and ‘M’, like ‘I am Milano’. Therefore, the ‘F’ and ‘C’ are likely to disappear from the new badge, which will stick to a simpler design.
Apart from this, it’s speculated that tyre manufacturer Pirelli, which has sponsored the club for more than 20 years, could move aside to allow Chinese holding Evergrande to slid into the club’s shirt.
This new rebranding ideas were reported by Italy’s top sports newspaper La Gazzetta Dello Sport and could be unveiled in March. Meanwhile, the club is still pursuing new titles and trying to raise new stars.
