Heriberto Beltrán was once a player who was set to have a great future. As a youth, he integrated the national team of Mexico U17 that won the World Cup of its category at Perú on 2005. Even though he played with top companions as Carlos Vela, this went different after that for this attacker.

Beltrán played just half an hour on the group stage against Turkey in that World Cup. Afterwards, he went back to Mexico youth teams several times and shared a squad with Chicharito and some famous players. But, at the age of 32, he is selling hats for a living.

Pachuca was his former club and during his career he played for Coatzacoalcos, Albinegros, Tehuacán, Tulancingo and Irapuato. But now, he only plays to gain some money on weekends and, when he is not on the pitch, he is selling hats and Mexicali shirts, as he told to Excélsior.

As it happened to many soccer players, Beltrán couldn't finally have a good profesional career. He was once a promise, but some injuries and extra-sport complications end with his illusions to gain a life as a soccer player. But, after all, he found his way for a living and now earns what's necessary to live.
