During the last decades it is very hard to find a soccer player who had a good professional career and couldn’t end up in a good economic condition. The contract, the sponsorships and the money soccer move make almost all of those who had certain success, to make a life with what they gained.

But there are some other cases of player who have done tremendous things and lost all their reputation and money gained on the field. One of the most emblematic one of the last years is the one of Adam Johnson, the winger who played many years in the elite and ended up bankrupt.

He was formed at Middlesbrough and make his professional debut on 2005. He then played for Leeds, Watford, AFC Sunderland and Manchester City, where he spent two years, shared the attack with Sergio Aguero and was considered one of the most talented players of the Premier League.

But after committing a horrible act linked with a minor of age, Johnson was arrested and forced to end his career. He was sentenced to spend six years in prison and kicked by Sunderland, the club for which he played At that moment. Since 2016, he never kicked a ball a professional player again.
