FC Barcelona isn’t going through its very best moment and suffered the injury of Gerard Piqué, who will be at least three months out. Head coach Ronald Koeman explained during the press conference how serious the injury is and how important will be for them to make a signing it that position.

One of the greatest problems that Barcelona has to sign is that they are facing an incredible financial crisis, with a debt for more than $800 million. That is the reason why the Catalan side is trying to look for players who could arrive as free agents, now just to replace Piqué but also during the next transfer window.

One of those who reunites the conditions to be signed by Barcelona is Ezequiel Garay. The defender, who shared team with Lionel Messi many times in the Argentina national team, is a free agent. He is 34 years old and left Valencia on July of this year, getting to be one of the most interested players in the transfer window.

Garay was formed in Newell’s Old Boys, as well as Messi, and then played for Racing de Santander, Real Madrid, Benfica, Zenit and finally Valencia. Messi could insist on his signing to be done and Barcelona really needs a new defender to replace Piqué during the next months.
