During the 2000s many top players passed through Real Madrid and will always be remembered as legends. Those were years in which soccer wasn’t yet the business it is nowadays and players were still icons. Zinedine Zidane is one of the most emblematic ones of that era, and his time as a head coach at the club may now reach to an end.

The bad results obtained recently made president Florentino Pérez think about his departure. The first years, in which he won three Champions League titles, are far away now. If Zizou is axed, then there is a player from the Galacticos that appears in the radar to become the new trainer of Real Madrid.

Formed in the club, he played almost all of his career, since 1995 to 2010. On those times, it was said that he was one of the most undisciplined players of the squad: he liked to party, going out at night and drinking alcohol. He is José María Gutiérrez Hernández, even though all know him as Guti.

His managerial career started in the youth divisions of Real Madrid, and then he was the second trainer of Besiktas Turkish side, the club in which he retired as a player. In 2019, he had his first chance as a main manager at Almería, and he left after just 22 matches with a result of nine victories, eight defeats and five draws.
