Orbelín Pineda arrived at Cruz Azul in January 2019 from Chivas in exchange for 10.5 million euros and since then he hasn't stopped attracting the attention of European soccer clubs. This season he has become one of the most important players of Robert Siboldi's team.
Pineda hasn't missed any game this season, with the exception of the match against Mazatlán for the birth of his son, and he is an undisputed player for Siboldi. The former Chivas is regularly called up by Tata Martino for the Mexican national team. The 24-year-old offensive midfielder has his hours counted at La Maquina Cementera.
Orbelín Pineda is closely followed by great teams from the Premier League as Tottenham, Newcastle and West Ham, but the one that is close to sign him and would make an offer in the next few hours would be Arsenal. Mikel Arteta's team is very interested in the young forward.
The only problem that appears at the moment is that the English club wants to take Pineda for only 5 million euros, which is not even half of what Cruz Azul paid to sign him. If Arsenal wants to take the Mexican player, they will have to pay at least 15 million euros for the player who has a contract until December 2021 with La Maquina Cementera
