Giovanni Simeone is going through one of the best times of his career. The Cagliari forward scored a goal in the 4-2 victory over Crotone on Sunday. In total, Diego Simeone's son has scored four goals in the Italian Serie A. He will try to extend his streak in the next game against Bologna on Saturday.

The Argentinean forward is the second top scorer in Serie A with four goals, the same as Zlatan Ibrahimovic (Milan), Hirving Lozano (Napoli), Alejandro Gomez (Atalanta) and Fabio Quagliarella (Sampdoria). The first place is shared by Andrea Belotti (Torino), Francesco Caputo (Sassuolo) and Romelu Lukaku (inter) with five goals.

Although he faces soccer stars, Diego Simeone's son has everything he needs to be the top scorer in Serie A. He is a young striker who has never had serious injuries and therefore he could probably play every game in the championship. In addition, players like Ibrahimovic and Lukaku have to play international competitions and therefore they are able to miss some Serie A games.

Simeone arrived in Serie A in 2016, when he signed a contract with Genoa. After scoring 14 goals in 37 games, he was hired by Fiorentina, where he scored 22 goals and gave 11 assists in 80 games. Finally, on 30 August 2019, Simeone joined Cagliari Calcio on a year-long loan deal from Fiorentina.
