Gerard Piqué has been one of the most famous players from FC Barcelona during the last decades. The defender was formed in La Masía and left the club just twice, first to Manchester United and then to Real Zaragoza. Since then, he has been one of the most remarkable players from the club.

After 553 matches played at Barça, in which he scored 48 goals and gave 13 assists, Piqué is reaching the end of his professional career. Even though it is something he doesn’t talk publicly about, his 33 years old make us think that it won’t pass much more time until he decides to end everything.

Barcelona has already been working to find who may be the replacement of Piqué and Ronald Koeman has approved the arrival of Eric García. Despite Piqué may think it is too early to sign him, as he wants to keep more time playing from the start, it is a fact that his successor will arrive.

García has always wanted to return to Barcelona since he left. Manchester City has been his club since 2017, but his desire to live once again in the city he was born to make him happy. The signing will cost nothing to the Catalan side, as he will be arriving as a free agent from the Premier League club.
