His name is Ferrán Torre, he is only 20 years old, and he is set to be one of the top players of the future. He was born at Foios, Spain, and he played since very young for Valencia. But at the age of 20 and after almost 100 matches on the Spanish side, top teams started looking after him.

The first one was FC Barcelona, who wanted to take him from Valencia, where he had a release clause from $100 million. But the Catalan side has going through some financial problems then as now and couldn’t afford the cost of signing him. As it happened with any other players, they decide not to sign him.

And in that precise moment Manchester City appeared in the story. Pep Guardiola had heard about the interest of Barcelona and also put an eye on the winger. With rapid negotiations, the head coach convinced the player, who signed for just $25 million, when he had a reported value of $45 million.

At the Premier League side, he only played 10 matches, scoring four goal and giving two assists so far. But in Spain national team he showed his great conditions and this Tuesday scored three goals against Germany on the triumph 6-0 of his team in an historical defeat for the visitors on the UEFA Nations League.
