Ousmane Dembélé was one of FC Barcelona greatest signings during 2017. The Catalan side intended the player to be one of the bests in the world in the future, but everything ended in another way. The talent for which the club paid $130 million couldn’t exploit its conditions and is now being pointed out.

Dembélé is already 23 years old, after the three years passed since Barcelona signed him his first contract. Even though he was once paid a fortune, his actual reported value arrives to $50 million, less than half of what they spent on him. After many chances, he has now received an ultimatum.

Head coach Ronald Koeman told the French forward that he was going to have his very last chance to show off at the club during this season and, if he failed, he is going to be axed. The contract of the player ends on June 2022, but Barcelona don’t want to set him free, as that would be losing all the money spent.

Dembélé was formed on Rennes and then was transferred to Borussia Dortmund, where he arrived on July 2016 for $15 million. Just 50 games, 10 goals and 22 assists later, Barcelona considered to sign him. At his actual club he played 83 matches, scoring 22 goals and giving 17 assists.
