FC Barcelona has a history of releasing young players, seeing them succeed somewhere else, regret the decision and pay a lot of money to buy them back, with Gerard Piqué, Cesc Fabregas and Jordi Alba being the most obvious example. It seems they are going through regret again and want a player they released some years ago.

He is 22, is an attacking midfielder and is called the new Andrés Iniesta. Last January, he was signed for a top club in Germany and performed greatly, at the point he was named the best Spanish player among the ones who are performing out of Spain. And last year he made his debut with his national team after going through all the youth teams.

Now FC Barcelona repented their decision and want Dani Olmo to play for them again. But it will not be easy because Olmo is comfortable at RB Leipzig, and his club will ask more than 50 million euro for his transfer. Anyway, in Barcelona there are hopes of him going back to his boyhood club.

Olmo left FC Barcelona in 2014 at 16 years old, and signed for Dinamo Zagreb. In that year he made his debut with the first team and after five years at the Croatian club where became a legend, RB Leipzig paid 21 million euro for his services, an investment that has already apparently paid off.
