FC Barcelona: a player exploded and demanded Ronald Koeman to play him more

The environment at FC Barcelona is not the best. Many players have expressed their discomfort for different reasons. The reason of one of them is not being taken into account by Ronald Koeman, who explicitly declared he should leave the club. The Dutch gives him little to no playtime.

And after a lasting conflict, Koeman subbed him on in the 87th minute versus Elche, so he would not have time to make a significant contribution. But he scored anyway, and sent a strong message to his coach saying that he deserves to play and will not give up easily in this confrontation against him.

That player is Riqui Puig, who shared that his year has been difficult for him because he is not playing consistently, but he will keep fighting for his place and learning, because this experience will make him a stronger player. This has been the first goal of Puig's career and it was a header, not common for someone his height.

The young midfielder thanked Frenkie De Jong, who has been making himself the leader of the team without Lionel Messi, suspended. Puig believed that if he gets minutes regularly, FC Barcelona might be able to pull a great comeback and dethrone Atletico Madrid at top of the league.
