Jonathan Javier Rodriguez is one of the most important players of Cruz Azul, which is on the second place of the Liga MX with 29 points in 15 games and a record of nine victories, two draws and four losses. Meanwhile, the Uruguayan forward is the top scorer of the tournament with 12 goals.

That is why the Uruguayan coach prefers Rodriguez to extend his contract with Cruz Azul. However, the player has already warned that it is very difficult for him to stay in the club because many European teams are interested in him, especially PSV Eindhoven from the Netherlands.

At a press conference, Siboldi said that Rodriguez is one of the best players he has ever coached, and he assured that the decision whether to leave or not depends on the player. Besides, he said that it is very difficult to find players as good and decisive as Rodriguez.

Therefore, if Rodriguez leaves the club in the next transfer window, the 55-year-old Uruguayan coach could resign to his position. In that case, Ricardo Ferretti is the coach most likely to replace him. Ferretti has been leading Tigres since 2010 and he is linked by contract with the Felinos until 2021.
