Cruz Azul will face the Chivas de Guadalajara on Week 15 of the Liga MX Guardianes 2020 Apertura championship, on the Akron Stadium field on Sunday, October 25 at 5:30 p.m. Central Mexico time. They will try to score a goal for the first time in three games, two of which they have lost.

Prior to the game, Cruz Azul published a video showing the work they have been doing during the week to get to the meeting in their best shape possible. Also, the official account on Twitter social media of Cruz Azul has been trying to try to raise the spirits of their fans after some difficult weeks. But they achieved the opposite as the fans of 'La Maquina Cementera' unleashed their fury with the squad and their coach.

The fans showed their annoyance and dissatisfaction with the team due to the poor results of the last weeks where, after only getting one point out of the last nine, they got very close to losing the direct qualifying position to the Liguilla, and were surpassed in the stands by Tigres, as both teams have 26 points but the Felinos counts on a better goal difference.

The Cruz Azul squad has been recriminated to a greater extent for their mismanagement of the free kicks. Cruz Azul also suffers of a very low effectiveness in long-distance shots. The fans say that if it is not by luck or by a penalty goal -of which, anyway, the Uruguayan Jonathan Rodríguez has missed two in the current championship- there is no way that 'La Maquina Cementera' can score.
