It’s not an easy 2021 for Club América. As for Liga MX, the transfer market can be quite shaky, and the Eagles seem set to release many names from the squad after signing, among others, former Real Madrid’s Álvaro Fidalgo. Carrying a big illusion on his shoulders, the Spanish midfielder was just brought overseas from Castellón.

But now, the coach, Santiago Solari, has been forced to remove some more names from the squad. In part, it is to allow other players to fill the Non-Raised slots in the list. One of them could be set to depart the club soon. These might be shocking news for him, one of the youngest and most promising players in Club America.

The Eagles’ campaign in the Guard1anes 2021 tournament will see extraordinarily little of Sergio Díaz in the first team. The 22-year-old from Paraguay has been dropped back in Solari’s mind, just like it happened with Andrés Ibargüen. The Colombian was also put back in the list of priorities. As for Díaz, he will have no choice, he cannot go away.

Meanwhile, Díaz, who will turn 23 years old next month, will be forced to keep on training until his loan deal expires and he can go back to Real Madrid. Meanwhile, he could have action for the World Cup Qualifiers with Paraguay’s national team in March. But as for now, he is sentenced to be on the bench.
