
Football leagues across Europe are on a two weeks break for the FIFA international break. Players who are invited by their countries will travel to play the qualifiers while those not invited will stay at their clubs. The Premier League teams played their seventh game of the season before the break.
Chelsea are currently top of the table after a nervy 3-1 win over Southampton with 16 points from a seven games, they have won five of their games, drew one with Liverpool and lost the other one to Manchester City. They are yet to concede an open play goal as the three goals they have conceded have come from penalties and corner kicks.
Liverpool are the only team left in the league yet to suffer defeat. They currently sit second on the table after their 2-2 draw against Manchester City on Sunday. They have won four of their seven games and have three draws which came against Chelsea, newcomers Brentford City and champions Manchester City.
Four clubs are yet to record a win and they all lined up at the bottom of the league table; Southampton, Burnley, Newcastle and Norwich City in that order. Southampton have four points from four draws, Newcastle and Burnley have three points from three draws while Norwich have just a point.
