Carlos Salcedo shocks Tigres fans after their historic win in the World Club Cup

Carlos Salcedo will play one of the greatest matches in his life next Thursday against Bayern Munich. After beating South American champions Palmeiras, Tigres will play the FIFA World Club Cup Final in Qatar. It is considered one of the most important games in Concacaf’s history. It’s the first time a club from the confederation reaches this instance in the tournament.

The Mexican defender has however shocked the fans of his club and all Liga MX with a very controversial comment he has posted in his Twitter account after the victory. The game showed an exceptionally good performance from him in the defense. After that it was remembered when he was receiving lots of critics, when his level was not this high.

Once Tigres was already on the final match and a Twitter account named 'Invictos' remembered that even the fans asked him to leave the club. He quoted that tweet and added that he was already leaving. Immediately, many fans took it with a bit of humor, and some others desperately asked him not to leave.

He also sent a message to all the people who did not believe in Tigres ahead of this competition. The club beat Asian champions Ulsan Hyundai, from South Korea, by 2-1, and later defeated Palmeiras 1-0. André-Pierre Gignac scored all the goals and is currently the top goalscorer in the tournament.
