Chivas are already thinking on the team that they could assemble for the next season. The side coached by Víctor Vucetich ended seventh this campaign, after earning 26 points on 17 matches played and will try to improve for the next one to end on the top four teams.

To do that, they are looking for some signing and what that both Vucetich and sport adviser Ricardo Peláez considered a good one was Aldo Rocha. The midfielder caught the attention of the Rebaño Sagrado but, when he was very near to sign, Atlas appeared and are set to take the player with them.

Rocha is 28 years old and was formed on León. He left on a loan to Monarcas Morelia on 2017 and then arrived to Mazatlán FC. After just 15 matches played and with a contract remaining until June 2024, he is convinced to move soon and Atlas seems to be the best option, despite the chance of going to Chivas as well.

Diego Cocca approved the signing and, as it is reported by Mexican press, is only matter of time for this to be official. Chivas will then lose the chance to incorporate a good player who they were chasing, that Atlas convinced to take with them after a fast negotiation. His transfer could cost up to $4 million, according to the value of the player set be specialized website Transfermarkt.
