Italian Serie A club AC Milan has revealed that the club's chief executive officer Ivan Gazidis has been diagnosed with cancer. The 56year old was diagnosed with throat cancer and is expected to make a full recovery.

 

According to a message from the club, he has undergone an extensive series of tests and scans and his doctors expect that he will make a full recovery. He will continue to work in his role as CEO while receiving necessary treatments.

Gazidis has posted a message of hope to the club fans assuring them his treatment will be successful and he will make full recovery because the cancer is curable and also he has world class medical experts. He also encouraged people to put priority on their health and go for regular checkups.

 

Gazidis was English Premier League club Arsenal's chief executive officer between 2009 and 2018 before joining AC Milan on December 1, 2018.
