A Real Madrid star is followed by three European giants

Real Madrid is struggling to keep Sergio Ramos in the squad for at least one more season. The legendary center back is turning 35 years old in a bit more than a month, and his contract expires next June 30. But apart from him, there is another player of Zinedine Zidane’s squad who is in risk of leaving.

Ramos has been in a sort of a conflict with the board, considering they could never reach an agreement, basically he wanted to keep his salary, estimated in over $18 million per year, and signing for two years. The club has reported to reject the conditions and offered him whether keeping his salary for one season or staying two season with a 10% paycut.

Now, it was known that no less than three European topflight clubs are interested in signing another star of Real Madrid. And he is a center back too, it is Raphaël Varane. The French defender has allegedly been poised by Liverpool, Manchester United and PSG. Except for Liverpool, who need to cover the absence of Virgil Van Dijk, the other two also look for Ramos.

Varane arrived in Real Madrid on July 1, 2011, and has his contract expiring on June 2022. It will represent big trouble for Zinedine Zidane if he loses both centerbacks. He had the biggest day in his life on July 15, 2018, when he lifted the FIFA World Cup with France. He will celebrate ten years in Real Madrid very soon… and leave?
