Football is the most brutal sport that puts results and business ahead of a lot of other things. When you don't get results, you'll be sacked. That analogy has been applied to eight managers across Europe's top five leagues - Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga, Ligue 1 and Bundesliga.

The Premier League as always leads the way in the managerial sackings as five managers have already been shown the exit by their different clubs. Watford, Newcastle United, Tottenham, Norwich City and Aston Villa have all sacked their managers - Xisco Munoz, Steve Bruce, Nuno Espirito Santo, Daniel Farke and Dean Smith respectively.

The Spanish La Liga follows closely behind having sacked three managers. FC Barcelona, Getafe and Levante have all sacked their managers - Ronald Koeman, Michel and Paco Lopez have all been shown the exit by their clubs.

There are no casualties yet in the German Bundesliga, Italian Serie A and French Ligue 1. The two managers of top coaches who are increasingly under pressure for their team's results or play on the pitch are Manchester United's Ole Gunnar Solskjær and PSG's Mauricio Pochettino. It is no coincidence that they both manage Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.
