The rare video of Messi and Maradona playing soccer together that shocked the world

Soccer world was never the same after last November 25 in which Argentinian legend Diego Maradona passed away after suffering a heart attack. The whole planet cried in his memory and even many of his haters where deeply saddened with the events. One of the most shocked players was his main soccer inheritor, Lionel Messi.

Still soccer fans could enjoy a bit of their talent together after a viral video around Internet in which both were seen playing together with the ball. Messi was just 10 years old on October 25, 1997, when Maradona played his last match as a professional. It was a 2-1 win by his beloved Boca Juniors over lifetime rivals River Plate. He was replaced in the half-time by Juan Román Riquelme. Maradona would turn 37 five days later.

When Messi was already a world star Diego Maradona took the charge of coach in the Argentinean national soccer team, after 1991 and 1993 Copa America winning coach Alfio Basile was sacked. It was by the end of 2008, when the team was undergoing the 2010 World Cup Qualifiers.

After narrowly qualifying to South Africa 2010 World Cup, Argentina would beat Nigeria, South Korea and Greece to easily go through the group stage. After defeating Mexico in the round of 16, Germany would humiliate them by winning 4-0 in quarter-finals. But the match against Greece let people see some fancy playing between them.
