Manchester United are working hard to be in the future one of the best European teams in the world once again. That is the reason why we may see that the Premier League side signs top young talented players for a fortune. The cases of Donny van de Beek or Facundo Pellistri are not isolated and now there is a new one.

With just 18 years old, Amad Diallo has been officially announced as the new reinforcement of the Red Devils. The attacker has been paid up to $40 million, according to the English press, despite some said that it was finally closed for less. The forward arrives from his boyhood club Atalanta, in which he plays for the first team since September 2020.

Just five matches with the first team, with one goal scored and none assists given, were enough for United to decide paying that fortune for the player, who has a reported value of $15 million according to specialized website Transfermarkt. A very risky bet for the English side, that trusts on what Diallo can do in the future.

Many times compared with Didier Drogba, not because of his conditions but because of that both were born at Ivory Coast, the winger has transformed into the second most expensive teenager bought by United, after Anthony Martial ($45 million to AS Monaco). There was an option for him to keep playing at the Italian side until the end of the season, but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer asked for him now.
