Ronaldinho's life took a 180 degree turn last February after his mother, Miguelina, passed away after spending several weeks fighting the coronavirus. Since then, the situation of the former Barcelona's going downhill without brakes, and from the closest surroundings of him they already express their concern about the lifestyle that he's leading.

Plunged into a depression since losing his mother, according to the newspaper Extra, citing friends of the former player, Ronaldinho is having problems with alcohol and losing himself in the nightlife."Every day at a party. Ronaldinho starts drinking vodka, whiskey, gin in the morning, and he only stops drinking the next morning",explains the Brazilian media.

However, the cited sources emphasize that this situation isn't new, but has been aggravated by the tragedy. "It isn't from now, but we noticed that it became more intense after the death of his mother",they add. "He had a New Year's Eve party and everything, several friends from Rio went there because he feels very lonely in that immense place where he lives. He makes barbecue, dances, always passes...", they recall.

Ronaldinho doesn't move from Porto Alegre

Ronaldinho has settled in his native Porto Alegre since a year ago he was released by the Paraguayan authorities after months incarcerated in Asunción for false documents. Specifically, in a mansion that his friends describe as "a fortress with everything he needs", where he celebrates his parties in which increasingly worse companies join him.

"Ronaldinho has an immense heart and strives to be generous with his friends. But not all are true friends and I see that he is doing a lot of damage", they point out.
