After his economic collapse, and after spending five months in detention in Paraguay for having entered the country with false documentation, Ronaldinho continues to walk the path of his resurgence. Already in January, the 41-year-old former footballer had made headlines for his financial recovery. And now the former Barcelona and the Brazilian team have learned that he will receive 6,200,000 dollars between 2021 and 2023 for a debt that he had never been able to execute.

What is the origin of the fortune that will enter your bank accounts? As reported by Sport, Dinho was active in a lawsuit against Atlético Mineiro, a club in which he played between 2012 and 2014 (and with which he won a Copa Libertadores and a Recopa Sudamericana) for image rights. And Justice ruled in his favor.

Indeed, when he agreed to link him with the Belo Horizonte club, the contractor had promised to pay him USD 13 million for the use of his image once he ended his participation with the team. His lawyers warned that O Galo had never paid 5.6 million of the agreed amount. And the bid ended in court.

Justice supported the proposal of Ronaldinho and Planet Invest, the company that manages his career, which is headed by his brother. Including penalties, the debt figure amounted to 6.7 million, but they ended up agreeing to 6.2 in 10 installments, to be paid in two years.

The more than 6 million that will swell his fortune are added to the great income that he was able to reap since he was able to leave the ordeal in Paraguay. In addition to recovering the million reais that he had to put on bail to obtain house arrest in a downtown hotel in Asunción (the equivalent of 180,000 dollars), Dinho collected profits for another four million reais (around 720,000 USD) until January.

The ventures that allowed him to earn that fortune were:

The hiring of a company from Minas Gerais to be the image of the works carried out in the Atlético Mineiro stadium.

He dedicated himself to music, launched his own studio and released a video that in less than a week got more than a million views on YouTube alone.

He promoted his gin brand, R-ONE, and a wine called “Vino de Campeones”.

After being excluded from FIFA 2020, he regained a privileged place in the world of eSports. His image returned to FIFA and also to Pro Evolution Soccer (PES). And as if this was not enough, he launched his own video game called R10 Team.

The president of Brazil, Jair Bolsonaro, appointed him Ambassador of Brazilian Tourism. It is worth remembering that Ronaldinho supported the president's electoral campaign in 2018.
