Former Brazilian soccer player Ronaldinho Gaucho is experiencing a difficult emotional moment and is consuming a lot of alcohol, after the death of his mother Miguelina Elói Assis dos Santos, 71, on February 20, due to the coronavirus. The Brazilian media remarked that the close environment of "Dinho" is concerned about the health of the forward who dazzled in Gremio, PSG, Barcelona, Flamengo, Fluminese, with 266 matches played matches and 166 goals scored.

Apparently, Ronaldinho notably increased his alcohol intake and someone close to the Brazilian star's environment told the newspaper Lance!: "Every day is a party. Ronaldinho starts drinking vodka, whiskey, gin in the morning, and just stops drinking. take the next morning ". In this sense, he indicated that everything intensified "after the death of his mother."

Ronaldinho, world champion in Japan-Korea 2002 and who played 53 matches for the Brazilian national team, with 26 goals, lives in Porto Alegre, "and is surrounded by people who do not care about him," the press reports added. At the age of 41, Ronaldinho maintained a close relationship with his mother, who, in fact, was key in the growth of his career as a footballer.

In 2012, when Ronaldinho arrived at Atlético Mineiro, a club with which he was crowned champion in the Copa Libertadores, he chose the shirt with the number 49, which is the year his mother was born, a woman who already suffered from cancer at that time. Before his mother's death, Ronaldinho's life was already in crisis: in February 2020 he was imprisoned in Paraguay for falsifying documents, which led to him being detained for five months.

Last October, Ronaldinho was infected with coronavirus and on December 21 his mother was hospitalized for the same virus, which had her hospitalized for two months until the painful outcome. A week ago, Ronaldinho uploaded a photo to his account on the social network Instagram with his mother with the following message: "I miss this smile and this hug."
