Rio Ferdinand retired from professional football almost six years ago. He started a career as a journalist and he loves being on TV. That’s why every time something weird happens at Manchester United, the media ask him. This time, he talked about the lack of opportunity that a new player is having on the team.

This player is Donny Van de Beek. At the end of the last transfer window everything was done for Paul Pogba to leave the team but he did not. Manchester started to look for a new midfielder and they paid almost $50 million dollars for the former Ajax player. Now, was isn’t he playing?

The Dutch has played only 852 minutes on the whole season. Ferdinand said that he is really worried about the lack of chances that he his having. Obviously by saying this, he is trying to say that he has different opinions than Solskjaer. Ferdinand said that he was 100% percent sure that the team offered Van de Beek a starting position.

Could this explode at Old Trafford, because Donny is getting used to sitting on the bench, but sooner or later, he will complain about his position on the team. Now that he has Rio Ferdinand support, maybe he starts complaining and this is the last thing that Manchester United needs right now.
