Ten days after Uruguay’s Diego Alonso left Inter Miami FC, MLS is proud to announce the arrival of former England’s international Phil Neville as the new coach of the franchise. The former Manchester United and Everton player will fly across the Atlantic Ocean to start his MLS spell.

43-year-old Neville Has been working as the coach of the England women's National Football team. After a successful career that led him to play the Eurocups, Neville retired in 2013 from football by the age of 36. During his professional life in the pitch, particularly in his Manchester United days, he made good friends with England’s legend David Beckham, owner of Inter Miami.

Neville is arriving to Fort Lauderdale to take charge of his first club after coaching the England’s women team. With the Lionesses, Neville reached the quarter-finals of the last World Cup played in France in 2019. When coaching Inter Miami, Neville will meet world-wide stars like Argentina’s Gonzalo Higuaín and France’s Blaise Matuidi.

As reported by Express.co.uk, Phil Neville signed a contract with the England’s Football Association to coach the female senior national team for around £250,000 and £300,000 per year. That equals arguably to between $340,000 and $408,000 as per current exchange rates.
