Cristiano Ronaldo was the player about whom everyone talked about this Sunday, as the Portuguese idol scored in the game in which Juventus defeated Sassuolo and reached the 759 goals scored in his entire professional career. That number of goals means that he has just equalized the ones that Josef Bican had.

Cristiano had already overcome Brazilian legend Pele on that list, as the attacker who played most of his career at Santos scored 757 goals. But a gesture from Pele brought a polemic during the last hours, as the ex-soccer player is used to share his congratulations on his social media every time an achievement from an important player is made.

This time Pele made no post on his social media. Neither when CR7 beat his record, nor when he equalized the one from Bican. The envious gesture was very criticized as many fans thought that he should be recognizing those who did better than him during the last years and could beat him records.

The problem seems to be that Pele doesn’t want to admit that he scored 757 goals. On his bio of Instagram, he assures he did 1,283 professional goals, something unverifiable. However, Cristiano celebrated his conquer, completed playing for Sporting C.P. former side, Manchester United, Real Madrid, Juventus and Portugal national team.
