Ronaldo continued to affirm himself as the best player in the UEFA Champions League by scoring in his 16th season in a row in the Champions League and increased his total goals to 135.

 

He opened the scoring for United in the first half of the match against Young Boys of Switzerland. Ronaldo, who equalled the appearance record of 177 scored from a beautiful pass from fellow Portuguese Bruno Fernandes.

 

He has now scored three goals in two games since his return to the club he first became a global superstar. The only other player to have the record of 16 consecutive Champions League seasons is Lionel Messi.

 

Ronaldo's record looks unbeatable yet he is not done yet. At 36, he is still very fit and scoring goals.
