Maradona was loved at this club, the board hated him and now they want to make an incredible gesture

Everybody knows Diego Maradona is a soccer legend. And consequentially, he is a legend at every club he wore the shirt. However, this did not avoid confrontations with representatives from these clubs, so Diego’s relationships with these people have been broken for a long time.

In the club Maradona loved the most, there were lots of criticism exchanged between the star and the board, for decades, no matter who was in charge, until his passing. But his death saddened the whole planet, these people were no exception, and they are promoting a way to pay tribute forever to this man that made them so happy.

At Boca Juniors, some people at the board proposed a new badge for the club. It’s essentially the same but with one important change: Over the badge, there would be a star with the number ten, as a way of putting Maradona in Boca’s soul forever. They understand the club was in Diego’s heart and want to do the closest possible to do the same.

It is expected that the request will be granted in the next weeks. In Argentina, Boca fans will probably want this modification to happen, given that Maradona, the biggest icon of soccer ever, was felt as theirs even more than for any other soccer fans, maybe only alongside Napoli.
