Diego Maradona had initially been hospitalized for routine check-ups but after some studies were negative, they decided that he had to be operated on urgently. A bruise in a part of his brain complicated his health and that is why Maradona's trusted doctors decided that he had to be operated on.

The operation took place in a hospital in Argentina and was carried out at night. After the operation, the doctors confirmed that everything went well but that Maradona should continue to be observed. What most worries the doctors is his state of anemia since that could bring him complications in the future.
